Isomandrels are superthermally conductive steel mandrels which provide uniform thermal energy to the mandrel face and the wound part I.D. during the cure process. Isomandrels can be operated with traditional convection oven curing or can provide "out of oven" curing when heated by a process controlled induction heating system. Acrolab Ltd. provides Isomandrels as well as complete associated temperature control systems.Isomandrel can be retrofitted to most currently operating filament winding manufacturing cells. Isomandrel technology reduces, substantially, the overall cure time while providing a unique isothermally heated surface on the mandrel resulting in optimal composite cure and performance.
