Polystrand, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Gordon Composites, Inc. has developed what many material experts believe represents the next generation of fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) composites. This new material system combines continuous structural fibers including E-Glass, S-Glass and fiber into ribbons or coils that can be reformed through high temperature processing to create a new family of end-use applications such as ballistic and blast panels to protect troops and buildings, automotive products like battery cases and floor pans as well as a wide range of other high-strength products.

Polystrand ThermoPro™ and ThermoBallistic™ materials combine continuous E-Glass or S-Glass structural reinforcing fibers in either a polyethylene or polypropylene proprietary thermoplastic polymer to form ribbons or tapes. Also X-Ply™ 0/90 Laminates up to 50" x 100" (1.27m x 2.54m)

Polystrand ThermoBallistic products are distributed by Composites One in the United States and British Columbia. To find out more about Polystrand materials or to request a sample, please call your Composites One Technical Sales Representative at 1.800.621.8003
