Advanced Lightweight Engineering (ALE) is a young, fast growing company that specializes in the design, development, and production of lightweight structures. ALE uses fibre-reinforced polymers and light metals, frequently using combinations of these materials. With the ready-to-use solutions offered by ALE, significant savings can be realized not only in terms of weight, but in maintenance costs as well.

Since its establishment in 1996, ALE worked on the development of the patented dry filament winding technique, enabling high winding speeds of fibre reinforced pressure vessels without the use of matrix material. In addition to specializing in the realm of fibre-reinforced products, ALE is also a specialist in the design of thin-walled aluminum structures.

Working in close conjunction with Delft University of Technology, ALE continues to expand its expertise.
